finally a vehicle...and food fun

the miller household is enjoying our replacement for the beloved blazer.  after much rapid research over the course of a few days we settled on the mazda cx9.  it has a third row seat but still keeps us out of the minivan family, a personal goal of ours.  plus now we get to hear jude ask to ride in the big fat car.
a blue car family
speaking of fat...earlier today i had to take a breathe when jude says 'mommy why are you so big?'  excuse me i thought.  he says it again, 'why are you so big?...and harry is so little?'  ah, ok, he's comparing me to the 8 month old, i feel better.

speaking of me, the black and blue face that stuck around for three weeks is finally gone!  a few technical problems kept us from posting any updates until now.  but its worth one more look at the blazer and how grateful we are to be ok.
harry and mommy's side

It was only a week before crash day kara felt sad about the seat.  little harry is growing so fast. he outgrew the carrier car seat that allowed us to tote him around.  now he needed the big ole seat.  the darn thing took up so much room.  we now credit that big ole seat with keeping him unhurt when the door crushed in around the grey and black fabric lifesaver.

ok. let's move on from the crash of 2012.  we promise there are plenty of fun moments of laughter mixed with some tears, feeling completely overwhelmed and a bit bewildered.   like this moment where jude says "mommy look! my toast is now a seven!"

and i totally recommend these cute sandwich cutters from pottery barn kids.  we used a credit to drive off with train, truck, or plane on our pb & j's or morning toast.

cute cutters

and we leave you today, on a day when carolina is NOT playing basketball (sniff) in the final four, with a bit of news you can use.    yes, here is what happens when you help feed your infant, then iron the cheerios into your shirt pocket.  don't let this happen at home

uh oh cheerios
